March 16, 2013 — First Week . . . . (finally sending it)

This did arrive about 30 minutes before the second week’s letter but she had problems with the mail server the when she originally tried to send it.

DEAR FAMILY!!!!!!!!!

I’ve been dying to e-mail you.  Seriously though.  I feel like SO MUCH HAPPENS EVERY SINGLE DAY that I don’t even know where to start.  But I brought some notes with me, so somehow I hope I can cover all of the important things.  Though, it may be a bit scrambled.

First of all, Heavenly Father loves me.  I see people I know and love- EVERYWHERE I GO.  Before I had even gotten into the MTC with all my luggage I had already seen 3 people from my high school, one of them being a really good friend of mine.  Then by the end of the day I had seen SO MANY!  And it continues.  Every day I find more and more people I know and love that are in the MTC.  It’s been such a blessing to see Lindsey Lockhart around. 🙂  She even made me a birthday card and gave it to me at lunch on my birthday.

Speaking of my birthday- THANK YOU FOR THE BIRTHDAY GIFTS! I got two packages today, both wrapped and beautiful.  So thanks.  I felt very spoiled.

Also- let’s send a shout out to Michael Bishop, because he’s the only person who will send me a letters. 🙂

But I love you all, so thank you for the support. 🙂 I especially love my new mustache necklace.  Wearing it right now, Brutt. 🙂  But really, everyone- THANK YOU FOR THE GIFTS. I am spoiled here.

Life in the MTC is perfect.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited to get to Washington for many reasons, but in the MTC, it’s all easy.  I’m surrounded by people who want me to succeed.  My teachers, my investigators, my companion, my roommates, all the Elders and Sisters crowding the halls and the lunchroom.  We all love each other and we are all going through the same things.  I’m tired most of the time, and sometimes it’s hard to stay attentive in classes, BUT I LOVE IT.  I’m learning so much, but I wish I could be learning more and taking in more.

My companion is INCREDIBLE.  I am so so lucky to have her.  She is beautiful and kind and fun and she has an AMAZING testimony. I love her. 🙂 My whole district is amazing, actually.  🙂  So really I’m just super blessed.

Yeah.  Just super blessed. 🙂

I’m thinking I’m going to need to buy a carry on bag- because I’m worried I’ll be over weight.  And by that- I mean that I think my bags will be over weight. haha- But who knows, I’m eating at the MTC, I may be over weight as well.  I tried to spoil myself yesterday and eat some cake for my birthday.  NEVER AGAIN, MY FRIENDS.  I was so sick all night.  and teaching while you are sick is not a joy.  Luckily, the spirit still works with an upset stomach.

I’m loving teaching and learning and praying. 🙂 I’m loving everything.  I’ll admit- I miss people, I miss you all a lot- But I expected that.  I just love you all so darn much. 🙂  [hopefully I’m allowed to say that…]

One more cool thing before I go:  My branch president asked me to the be coordinating sister.  Which means I get to pray for, watch after, teach, love, and guide a new district of sisters that come in next Wednesday.  I learn all of my responsibilities tomorrow- but I am very very excited.

Also, another thing… 🙂  All the members of my super incredible district are going to Spokane! Except for two of them.  Two of them are going to Detroit! So tell Brother Gerber he is going to get some SUPER STELLAR MISSIONARIES.  In a not creepy way- sometimes I just like to watch Elder Gunter and Elder Wallace (the two going to Detroit) because they have the cutest companionship! They just love each other so much and they are so good for each other.  I love missionaries and I love this gospel! 🙂

I love you all so much.  Seriously.  I miss you, too- But I know that this is where I am suppose to be.  The MTC hasn’t been hard for me- but I am missing people.  It’s especially hard to be so close to where I have lived for the last two years…. (and that’s where the email cut off, but I’m sure I ended with a great story about how much i love the MTC and all of you!)

Love,

Sister Meservy
