Sister Meservy’s Letter from June 16, 2014
Subject: “2,500 sheets of toilet paper later . . . Awkward!“
Well Howdy Neighbors! It hasn’t been long, since I last wrote on Wednesday, so there isn’t much to update on. Especially because my companion and I got sick. I kept working for the first 4 days of my sickness and it kept getting worse. Then I got kicked out of someones house. As our investigator from Bulgaria, Bozhi, would sing, :”Awkwar!”
Not sure how I got Sister Tea sick, but I did. Possibly from spending all of our time with each other. Or maybe because I can’t seem to keep a normal distance from her. She likes to call me her backpack. . . . Either way, I got her sick. So we took the day on Saturday to rest and recover. And we filled over 2,500 sheets of toilet paper with drainage. Throwing the toilet paper roll back and forth. Last night she screamed at me while I was asleep, “I NEED THE TOILET PAPER!” (Sound familiar, Jeff?).
Well, since my companion knows how to rest, she recovered quickly, and I am still sick. Haha. But that’s okay! 🙂 I am able to function now and seem to be kicking this nasty vermin. Hopefully I won’t get kicked out of any more houses because of it.
One of the biggest blessing of being able to lay in bed for a day, was reflecting on my mission thus far. I felt and overwhelming amount of God’s love and knew that I was doing what he wanted me to do. It was amazing. I am so grateful to be able to recognize the voice of the spirit. I am grateful to be a missionary. This is the best time of my life and every day just gets better and better!
Gemma, from Smile, is getting baptized this FRIDAY! Can’t even tell you how stoked I am. I know that the gospel is true!
Love you loads!
